Disha: The Mental Well-Being Programme at Narayana
Narayana Educational Institutions launched the Disha Programme in 2017 to support students, parents, and educators, focusing on mental and emotional well-being alongside academic success. Led by Ms. Vijaylakshmi K, an experienced psychologist with 25+ years of experience in the field, the Disha team includes over 100 trained psychologists. This team reaches 283 schools and 279 colleges, conducting 3,500 group interactions annually. In the past year, they supported over 300,000 students, with more than 15,000 seeking individual support. This extensive outreach underscores Narayana’s commitment to over-all student development.
