National Science Day holds great significance in India as it celebrates the discovery of the Raman effect by the eminent physicist Sir C.V. Raman on February 28, 1928. This day is celebrated to honour his contributions to the field of science and to promote scientific temper among the masses.
Narayana Schools celebrated National Science Day 2024 with great enthusiasm. Recognizing the importance of fostering a scientific spirit among students, various activities were organized to engage and inspire young minds. Students participated in quizzes, discussions, and practical experiments, including demonstrations of light scattering, to understand the principles of the Raman effect. Through these activities, they learnt about the significance of Sir Raman’s discovery and its impact on modern physics.
The celebration provided an opportunity for students to delve deeper into scientific concepts and enahnce their curiosity. They were encouraged to share their insights and interpretations of the Raman effect, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Dr. Sindhura Narayana, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, emphasized the importance of commemorating the achievements of Indian scientists like Sir C.V. Raman. She stated, “National Science Day serves as a reminder of the remarkable contributions of our scientists and inspires the next generation of innovators to dream big and chase their dreams with passion. By celebrating such days, we instil a passion for science and nurture the potential of budding scientists.”
Through engaging activities and informative sessions, Narayana Schools reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity and empowering students to pursue their dreams. As we continue to inspire and educate, we fulfil the dreams of our students, as Your Dreams are Our Dreams.
